Test and debug your webhooks easily!

Post by ismailb » 25 Oct 2016, 10:28

Hi everybody!

After receiving feedback from the community we've decided to add a feature to help you test and debug your webhooks.

Here's what you can do the next time you're testing webhooks and can't figure out why you're no longer receiving any events:
- Log into your account on https://dev.netatmo.com
- Go to your apps portal (click on your name on the top right hand corner)
- Scroll down to the webhooks section

You’ll find out if your app has been banned or not.
Then you’ll be able to retrieve your most recent webhook logs and analyze what is going wrong.
You can even manually unban your app and keep on testing your code

Keep the feedback coming! ;)

Thank you for this feature!
Would it be possible to add a button to this page to test the webhook URL by sending some dummy data?
It would enable me to check if my receiving URL works like planned...

I'm trying to set up a Webhook to deliver Welcome "persons recognized" updates to an Azure Function.

I would really like to understand how http requests are formed and an example of what data is send.

I have to say that with the current level of the documentation, it is difficult to figure out how to program and configure the receiving end of the Webhook.

Any help and examples is much appreciated.

Thank you
