Apple HomeKit support via new Apple Software API

Post by aytek »

Now that Apple started providing HomeKit support via Software API (no HW chip required anymore), is Netatmo planning to add this via a firmware update to gen1 Thermostats as promised? I think that was a promise from Apple to smart product manufacturers such as Netatmo. That's way Netatmo also once said that it will provide homekit support to old Thermostats.

Hello,
Apple has just announced this possibility.
We're now waiting for further information and we will look into it.
Have a nice day!

Let's hope so as we were promised by netatmo that our thermostats would support HomeKit but never happened.
