I am thinking about leaving the old thermostat in parallel as a backup to override Netatmo in case of some failure.
Normally, old would be set to 0 deg C, so it would not turn on the boiler.
Any reason why not to connect in such way?
Leaving the old thermostat in parallel?
Re: Leaving the old thermostat in parallel?
i use netatmo in parallel with the original boiler thermostat (needed for my boiler settings).
No problems at all

Connected to the same terminals?
That's what I had in mind. Not just parallel use. Electrically connected in parallel.

Re: Leaving the old thermostat in parallel?
i don't see any potential problem... connecting wires to both thermostats you just make a logical OR: if one thermostat OR the other closes the circuit, the boiler startsgosmart wrote:Connected to the same terminals?

Re: Leaving the old thermostat in parallel?
My thoughts exactly.
It should work if netatmo is on-off thermostat. I don't know how to verify such assumption.

Netatmo IS an on-off thermostat. It just closes or opens a circuitgosmart wrote:My thoughts exactly.

Ok. Thanks!
Re: Leaving the old thermostat in parallel?
Hey guys. I am at the same question. Have an buderus gb112 and I need the old thermostat to set the water boiler.
My thought Is to connect the Netatmo Thermostat parallel too. the questionis if the Netatmo would override the old thermostat when the old is set to 0 degree.
