Homekit support is indeed the most urgent issue...

If you really want this, setup a Raspberry pi with Homebridge, did that and works pretty good. If you have wind/rain gauge, keep in mind that this is not yet supported in Homekit (will show data in Elgato Eve).
There is also a Homebridge app in the Apple store, that makes the installation pretty easy.

Native support for Homekit would be nice, but this is good alternative.

+1 on both HomeKit and Apple Watch support... meaning not just a watch app, but a complication for the watch faces so I can see MY outdoor or indoor temp at a glance.
