Re-boot from within app
Re-boot from within app
My doorbell is on the same breaker of other 24h devices I don't want to cycle if it looses connection. It would be nice to command a reboot through the app or a QR code displayed on the phone.
Re: Re-boot from within app
+1 for a QR code
Keep in mind: If it looses connection completely then it won't be possible to reboot from within the app! A QR code, "seen" by the camera, however, should do the job.
I found over time that sometimes it seems to loose connection for "live video", but I can still play recorded videos (from the SD card in the doorbell) - which tells me, it's not completely off, only partially, for specific functions.

You can reboot using the “shortcuts” app on iPhone. Funny that there’s an option there but not on the actual app itself!

I can't see this in available Actions?Lammiwinks wrote: ↑30 Mar 2022, 10:12 You can reboot using the “shortcuts” app on iPhone. Funny that there’s an option there but not on the actual app itself!
Re: Re-boot from within app
I just found out that this feature has finally been added to the netatmo security app!! just stumbled upon the changelog in the Google Play Store while updating the app and tried it out - it actually works
Re: Re-boot from within app
Yes, a "reboot" option is now available, also in the iOS version of the security app. Only, it is hard to find ...a bit hidden in the dialog structure! Let me share my findings:
You need the iOS Netatmo Security App version 5.0.10 (build 798 or newer)
I have the German UI - translations may vary
Tap on the icon in the upper left corner (looks like some kind of circle - obviously meant as "settings")
Select in "My Home" the first option "manage home"
Select the "room" (area) of your doorbell
Select "Doorbell [roomname]"
Select the 3 dots in the upper right corner
Now a pop-up menu is shown:
Rename
Move
Restart (reboot)
Delete
